Rowan County United Way Raises Over $1.6 Million
In spite of two hurricanes that resulted in a campaign deadline extension, the 2018 “Every Day, The United Way” campaign surpassed its goal of $1.6 million and raised $1,615,515. Campaign Chair, John Struzick, explained the meaning behind the theme.
“Every day, the United Way, our theme, really speaks to who we are. Every day, our Rowan County citizens are providing financial resources to pay for the health and human services provided by our agencies. Every day, businesses donating to charities and individuals coming together to care for the needs of our people. It’s more than just a theme or slogan. It truly is every day, the United Way.”
Associate Director of United Way, Jackie Harris, credits the campaign’s success to the leadership of Struzick and to the supporters of United Way.
“Our United Way has a commitment to making an impact on the quality of life in Rowan County, and meeting our goal will enable us to do that.”
