Rowan County United Way Announces Open Grant Cycle

Apr 20, 2019 | News

Rowan County United Way has announced its first Community Impact Competitive Grant Cycle. The agency’s decision to move to the new Community Impact funding model was based on the need to maximize impact and increase efficiency while addressing the community’s most pressing issues. The concerns were identified by the 2018 needs assessment to be substance abuse, mental health and healthy lifestyle behaviors.

The grant cycle is open to nonprofit programs that focus on the following areas as well as basic needs. It is a two-year funding cycle with a pre-qualification phase running from May 10th to May 24th and a full grant application process running from June 19th to July 31st. Programs that are interested must attend one of the mandatory pre-qualification trainings on May 8th from 2 pm to 5 pm or May 9th from 9 am to 12 pm.
